Well, my first submission on DA has now been viewed over 215 times.  I know this isn't all that impressive by the standards of most, but it's exciting for me.  It's hard for me to get even close friends and family to read my work, so 215 views in the course of two and a half months (give or take) is pretty good.  It means that this venue is effective even if only a small percentage are actually reading the entire story.  It's even garnered some positive criticism, and it is difficult for me to express how wonderful it is to hear that someone enjoyed something you worked hard to create.

Anyway, in recognition of this milestone I have finished re-editing another short story.  The Thing Beneath has been heavily reworked since I initially wrote it about 13-14 months ago.  I hope people like it.

I have one other short story which I am currently trying to finish when not busy with my novel, day job, fantasy cartography, and general procrastinating, and that may or may not be ready before the end of the year.

Well, I've been on deviantart for a couple of years now.  I suppose that I should upload something.
